Holiday Insurance
When you take your family on a holiday you want to make sure that there will be no upsets in the plans and the family will enjoy that treat! But being pragmatic, you want to insure yourself against those unwanted, unforeseen possibilities which may spoil your holiday. There are many organizations that provide holiday insurance at a reasonable price.
You must be insured against the three major holiday spoilers:
• Your holiday insurance must cover you against Delays, cancellations & curtailments
Delayed flights: They not only throw your schedule out of gear, but burn into your holiday budget on account of extra expenses on food, hotel and at times even clothing;
Cancellations: You have booked and paid for a holiday but you may have to cancel the bookings due to a variety of reasons. Some member of your family may be taken ill or meet with an accident; there may be cancellation of flight due to weather conditions, airline strike; natural calamities such as floods or storms may force cancellation on you;
Curtailment: Due to reasons mentioned above, your holiday may have to be curtailed if not out right canceled.
• Your holiday insurance must cover you against Health related problems
A member of the family may be taken ill. Medical treatment can be quite expensive and in a unfamiliar place, it can become even more so. You would like to get reimbursement of these unforeseen extra expenses.
If the plane, ferry, bus or taxi that you are traveling in meets with an accident you would like to be insured against the impact of these events on your holiday.
• Your holiday insurance must cover you against Loss or damage to personal effects:
Loss, theft or damage to baggage including personal effects of the family;
Loss, theft or damage to cash, credit cards, passport, driving license, etc
Holiday insurance providers can provide insurance cover for domestic as well as foreign holidays
